Internet "Kill Switch"

The president of the United States has extraordinary power in our country. He is ultimately the one that decides where our money goes, where our troops are stationed, and countless other things.
Well who would have thought that he would have the power to cut off internet power throughout the whole country with one switch!
A new Senate bill has proposed that the president could have the authority to "seize control or even shut down portions of the Internet." That idea is completely insane in my eyes! Why would the President need the authority to do this. I believe that nothing should be kept hidden from us.
It's crazy to think that technology is this advanced and that a "Kill Switch" is possible. This just comes to show us how powerful the internet can be, how much information can be found in a short amount of time.

So powerful and advanced that the president might be given authority to obtain this "Kill Switch!"

Best Buy "Buy Back" Commercial - Technology moves fast

3D TV in our living rooms

I never would have thought that we would have the luxury of having 3D tv's in our living rooms. The first time I heard about 3D, it was a huge story that was gossiping around in the school hallways.
It was all about "are you going to go see the movie in 3d?" and things like that.
Now, technology has really out done itself by creating a tv and phone that don't not even use glasses to see the picture in 3D.
Intense.
What's next?!
Technology needs to slow down a little bit. I feel that every time I go out to get the next big thing, something else is already about to come out. We keep wasting our money in these innovative ideas, but it feels like it's never good enough! Something newer always has to come out and make us regret our decision. It's like that Best Buy commercial that shows how society feels.
Will post the video later!

Ipad

Since the Ipad has been invented, it has changed the way we use technology. We can catch up on the news, read newspapers and magazines, all with one tap on the screen. It is constantly being updated with new compatibles. It would certainly not be too farfetched to say that a business can be managed through an Ipad. The Ipad has slowly started to replace computers and laptops. Anything that we have done on these traditional devices can now all be done on the lightweight Ipad. Who knows what the makers of the Ipad, Apple,  and other competing companies have in store for us in the future. I am certain that these companies will continue to out-do themselves as they have in the past.
I think people are starting to expect more from not only Apple, but other companies as well. Apple has been setting expectations for companies all over the world, and it seems like they are always a step ahead of everyone.

YouTube

As I was doing the assignment for class, I hadn't really thought about how easy everything was to do. For example, interviewing my friends was so much harder than I expected, and uploading the videos were easier than I expected. Few years ago, I would have expected for the uploading process to be much, much harder.
YouTube has made uploading very simple and fast. They now have created an app for phones to have the YouTube experience at hand and with a single click, or touch.
Some websites even claim that YouTube is not only just a video source for home videos and fun things like that, but could even be the next NBC or another Napster.
Personally, I use YouTube for one purpose; Music.
I listen to music daily, and search videos all the time. If I don't use Pandora, Youtube is next on my list.
I love that it gives you the option to purchase the song that you're listening to. I see where people are thinking that it might be the next Napster.
I think YouTube has to start thinking outside the box a little bit and create something that will really set them apart. There are so many people trying to become the next big thing and if YouTube doesn't keep up, it'll be easily forgotten just like Myspace was.
